RABAB GALUAK

Rabab galuak an art of Padang pariaman. Material from coconut shell instruments rabab large and goat skins, while the strings derived from horses. The song is in line  the rabab galuak with dendang by the same person. Dendang is  a poems very fine literary nuances of the language in the form of innuendo and metaphor in the lives of everyday people.

LEGEND MALIN KUNDANG, PADANG, WEST SUMATRA

Once upon a time there lived a mother with her ​​son. Determined to succeed boy wandered over her blessing. In the city, the boy became a successful merchant by marrying the daughter of a rich merchant. One day, he stopped the ship to the area where the boy was born. This is the story of Malin Kundang. Legend of a rebellious child to his mother. This legend teaches that children devoted to his parents, especially his mother. PANDAI SIKEK, WEST SUMATRA, INDONESIA

Pandai Sikek is one of the villages that belong to the districts Sepuluh Koto, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. This is located near Batusanggkar, the capital city of Tanah Datar regency. In this area there is a weaving craft called "Tenun Songket Pandai Sikek". Pandai sikek woven products such as destar, baju kuruang, kodek songket, sarung balapak, sarung batabua, selendang songket or selendang batabua tingkulak tanduak (cover woman's head) and sesamping (equipment penghulu_head of the customs).

Songket for Minang society is a very high value garments. Therefore the use is limited to events or activities such as: marriage, batagak gala (coronation of penghulu), and welcome important guests.

TABUIK PARTY IN PARIAMAN, WEST SUMATRA, INDONESIA

Pariaman known also as the city Tabuik. This is due to start on 1 Muharram on the Islamic calendar, Tabuik festival held to a peak of 10 Muharram, when Tabuik made ​​by local communities work together released into the sea at the Gandoriah beach.

SALA LAUAK PARIAMAN


Sala lauak / sala lauk / sala bulek a traditional food of Pariaman and the surrounding area (food is also typical of coastal areas in the district of Padang Pariaman). Sala is a Minang language which means fried. 're Lauak means fish. What's sala lauak with fried fish? Eits, be careful! Of course not, because that would be given not sala lauak again but the fish is fried. Then sala lauak was like what?

Sala lauak is Pimpong fried balls of saffron yellow. Composed of rice flour, chillies, turmeric, onions, salt, and salted fish. Salty fish flavor contained in seasoned flour clumps that makes 'sala' was named Sala Lauak.

 
Not only is a sala lauak Pariaman food, but there are many other foods. Like fried crab,ketupat gulai paku, kacimuih, lamang sipuluik, onde-onde, lompong sago, and other foods.

GANDORIAH BEACH, PARIAMAN, INDONESIA
